On a recent visit to a beautiful park, I asked a young lady who was on the canopy bridge with me to take my photo. She took one and then she said "let go of the bridge", because I was clinging on for dear life!! When I let go, she took a photo that I absolutely love.
Here is my big lesson from that experience, namely the repetition of this mantra - " space and grace".
Years ago, a psychologist shared on the danger of ruminating on things. That warning stuck with me because rumination was my habit. I clung unto it with a vice grip. It took time to appreciate the process of reflection versus rumination. Mistakes happen and I have to let them go. Space allows for forgiveness of those mistakes and kindness to myself and to others.
If you are a "ruminator" or recovering "ruminator" like me, repeat this mantra daily as needed.
I give myself space and grace!
You will feel 10 times lighter with this practice.
